ASSERTIVE! Kominfo Make Sure to Block LinkedIn, Paypal To Dota If In 5 Days You Don't Register PSE Immediately



Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Kominfo) has confirmed that the deadline for registration of Private Electronic System Operators (PSE) is Friday (29/7) at 23.59 WIB. 

According to the Director General of Aptika, Semuel A. Pangerapan, until this news was made, there were still large platforms that had not yet registered, so they were in danger of being blocked at midnight tonight. 

Semuel said that there were 12 platforms that had been sent warning letters since Saturday (23/7). Of the 12 platforms, two of them have registered and the remaining ten have not yet registered. 

"Alibaba private ltd and LinkedIn have registered," he said during the Communications and Informatics Media Gathering 'Digital Literacy and Creating a Conducive Digital Space' in Jakarta, Friday (29/7/2022). 

Most of the ten platforms are gaming platforms. Here is the complete list:

Steam (platform distribusi game) 

Dota (game) 

Counter Strike (game) 

Battle.net (game)

"If you haven't registered until 11:59 PM (WIB), I once again apologize to the public for this service until they complete the registration, it can't be accessed from Indonesia." he said. 

The man who is familiarly called Semmy said that as of today Friday (29/7) at 10.00 WIB, there have been 5,384 institutions and 8,962 PSE consisting of 8,680 domestic and 282 foreign ones who have registered in the PSE system belonging to the Ministry of Communication and Information. 

On this occasion, Semuel revealed that there were 55 PSE registered by users who were not the organizers. Kominfo claimed to be investigating the 55 PSEs. 

"This is what we will investigate, those who registered PSE belonging to someone else yesterday. We investigate and learn whether they are playing games or there are indications of crime there." he concluded.
